Firm Profile
In 1997, Sloan Architects, P.C. opened its Millbrook, NY, office. Building a local and regional practice for over twenty years, we have earned a reputation for unmatched design versatility and thorough construction support with clients of all types and sizes. Our portfolio of design services has grown to include architectural design, preservation and restoration, and interior design as well as strategic & master planning, landscape architecture, and civil engineering.
We are especially gratified to be invited to maintain long-term relationships with our clients, serving on their Boards and committees in an advisory capacity. Our philosophy includes belief that both good design and meeting a client’s program needs are not mutually exclusive; architecture is an investment in the future and improves people’s lives on every level.
Estate owners have turned to us for evaluation, restoration, renovation, and sympathetic additions to the historic building. Second home-owners have relied on our deep roots with trade and crafts people in our region to bring their dream country properties to life. Of equal distinction are our commercial commissions, where practiced knowledge of function, space planning, and site conditions have secured us a wide range of projects, from new country club houses to adaptive re-use condominiums, to full educational campuses. With extensive construction knowledge and experience, we protect our clients by offering thorough documentation and project oversight.
We believe in beginning a relationship with every new client by listening closely. Our architectural design team brainstorms with the engineering staff to ensure aesthetics and civil requirements meet seamlessly from the start. With this close collaboration along with our clients, we carefully develop, create, and transform the existing into an innovative built environment that will suit the missions, and fulfill their strategic goals.
